WHAT KIND OF CITY DO YOU ASPIRE TO HAVE?

POST COVID-19 CITIES WILL BE DESIGNED DIFFERENTLY

Together, we will make it the best city in the world

* Council should not make any critical decisions causing vital changes or dividing the community without proper consultation with all stakeholders.

* A policy of a "level playing field" will be extended to all investors, businesses and developers.

Transportation:

I will champion the building of the high-speed train between Calgary and Edmonton which will contribute to taking cars off the road and reducing emissions.

- Studying the alternative "Circle and Spokes" concept, taking advantage of the ring road to cover more quadrants of the city and expand on the concept of fast trains.

- My blueprint for a modern city will include the allocation of strategic locations for electric charging stations, due to the increased popularity and move to electric vehicles.

- A properly designed and safe biking paths.

- I support maximizing sport opportunities for Calgarians, including proper and safe path for cycling, particularly, with the negative mental effect of the pandemic.

Arts:

It was decided that a new independent public art organization would be created, similar to the Calgary Zoo and Heritage Park.

The City council approved a motion to move the program to an external organization.

I believe an appealing art in any form is a source of inspiration and revenue from locals, and from tourists; it is vital for our souls and our economy. Therefore, it must be promoted.
